The commander of the US Central Command announced today, Friday, that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces are no longer present in the Strait of Hormuz, after monitoring the area for decades. The commander stated that he visited US forces deployed in the Middle East this week and observed oil tankers passing through the vital strait. He noted that US forces have removed Iranian mines from the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that the troops remain vigilant to ensure the freedom of navigation in these important maritime routes. He also added that cooperation with Gulf partners has facilitated the transport of more than 1.5 billion barrels of oil since last summer, reflecting efforts to maintain the stability of maritime traffic in the region.
