U.S. President Blasts Iran: Major Humanitarian Crisis and Ongoing Sanctions

U.S. President Donald Trump has leveled strong accusations against Iran, highlighting its "failure to pay large sectors of its military while continuing to suppress protesters at unprecedented levels." In a post on "Truth Social," Trump wrote, "The failing Islamic Republic of Iran does not pay large sections of its military, and at the same time kills protestors even when not protesting, at levels never seen before. This is a humanitarian crisis of immense dimensions, and it must be stopped now." These statements come amidst Washington's maximum pressure campaign against Tehran, which includes unprecedented economic sanctions aimed at crippling the Iranian economy and severing its financial lifelines. Washington has imposed new sanctions targeting Iranian military activity and oil exports, alongside the ongoing naval blockade on the Strait of Hormuz. Trump had previously announced "the most crushing economic operation" against Iran, describing it as "economic warfare and isolation on an unprecedented scale," while Treasury Secretary Scott Pissant pledged to "cut every economic lifeline" to the Iranian regime, in an effort to compel Tehran to reverse its policies or face a comprehensive economic collapse.
