The US Treasury Secretary stressed that there are "significant amounts of Iranian funds" spread worldwide, confirming that his department continues to track them in cooperation with relevant authorities. He added that the goal of recovering these funds is to direct them to the Iranian people, in addition to using them to compensate legal claimants in the United States and those affected by Iran. These statements are part of Washington's "maximum pressure" policy towards Tehran.
