The Iraqi Meteorological Organization and Seismology announced today, Thursday, the recording of an earthquake with a magnitude of three degrees on the Richter scale, located northwest of Baiji city in Salah al-Din governorate. The organization stated that its seismic observatories detected the tremor on Thursday evening, noting that it occurred approximately 36 kilometers northwest of Baiji. A number of residents living near the epicenter felt the earthquake, while no reports of material or human damage have been received thus far.
