The Ministry of Education announced on Thursday its decision to advance the official start date for schools for the 2026–2027 academic year. According to this decision, the new academic year will commence on October 1st, replacing the date that was previously scheduled. This measure follows the Ministry's completion of its comprehensive preparations for the new academic year's launch, including readying schools and providing the necessary educational and administrative supplies to welcome students. In a related context, Minister of Education, Abdul Karim Abtan Al-Jubouri, directed the general directorates of education to take the required steps to implement the decision and prepare schools to receive students on the new specified date.
