As part of regulating foreign banking transactions, the Central Bank of Iraq directed financial institutions to enforce updated regulations regarding corporate-issued prepaid cards. An official document stated that the monthly transaction cap will now also serve as the daily limit for point-of-sale (POS) purchases conducted outside Iraq, strictly requiring the physical presence of the card (Card Present). Under these directives, the previous daily limit of 500,000 Iraqi dinars has been officially abolished exclusively for this category of transactions. Cardholders are now permitted to spend abroad up to the equivalent of 5,000,000 Iraqi dinars per day, provided that the total expenditure does not exceed 5 million Iraqi dinars monthly.
