Governmental Moves to Facilitate Imports and Enhance Commodity Supply in Iraqi Markets

 The Ministry of Trade revealed new measures to support the private sector and importers by simplifying administrative procedures and import licenses, coinciding with the stabilization of international sea lanes. The ministry emphasized that field oversight aims to protect citizens from price fluctuations caused by transportation costs, asserting that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is a key pillar for enhancing regional trade exchange. The ministry is currently working to reduce delays in goods entering through ports and borders to ensure a balance between supply and demand and achieve comprehensive food security.
