The Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Tuesday the seizure of an old weapons and ammunition cache belonging to ISIS militants in a remote area within its jurisdiction in Diyala province. The directorate stated that units from the Intelligence and Security Department of the 23rd Commando Brigade located the cache based on precise intelligence information. The inspection operation resulted in the confiscation of two RBG-7 rocket launchers, nine rocket-propelled grenades, nine boxes of 14.5 mm ammunition, a 60 mm mortar shell, a 12.5 mm ammunition belt, and seven rocket fuses. The directorate affirmed the continuation of its efforts to track down remnants of terrorist groups and pursue sources of threats, contributing to the enhancement of security and stability throughout the country.
