Adel Al-Yasiri, head of the National Investment Commission, confirmed that Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi will commence distributing the "Watan" initiative bonds to citizens at the beginning of 2027. He explained that the Development Fund will be responsible for financing the infrastructure of the new modern cities currently under development. Al-Yasiri pointed out that the Prime Minister formed a committee tasked with establishing integrated modern cities covering an area of 10,000 dunams, and the project has been referred to a global consulting firm to ensure quality execution. He added that some ministries will relocate to new sites within these modern cities, reflecting the government’s direction towards infrastructure development and service improvement. He also confirmed that the Generations Fund will be transformed into a large-capital investment institution, with its returns used to implement major projects serving national development. He mentioned a commitment from the National Investment Commission to the Prime Minister to successfully deliver the project of providing one million residential land plots for citizens.
