In a continuous effort to consolidate security and stability in Nineveh Governorate, First Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, chaired a crucial meeting on Wednesday. The discussions focused on the governorate's security file, particularly emphasizing the ongoing transfer of security responsibilities in city centers to the Ministry of Interior. This significant security gathering witnessed broad participation from high-ranking officials. Attendees included the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Interior for Police Affairs and Intelligence, the Senior Secretary of the Commander-in-Chief's Office, and the Undersecretaries of the Intelligence and National Security Services. Also present were the Assistant Chief of Staff of the Army for Operations, the Director of Operations for the Ministry of Interior, the Commander of Land Forces, a representative from the Popular Mobilization Forces' operations, and relevant bodies within the Commander-in-Chief's Office. The meeting's scope was further extended to include the Nineveh and West Nineveh Operations Commands via video conference, facilitating a comprehensive discussion of security challenges and future strategies. Participants thoroughly deliberated on Nineveh's security file, reiterating the importance of seamlessly transferring security duties in urban centers to the Ministry of Interior to enhance efficiency and task specialization. The session concluded with the Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief approving a set of vital recommendations. These aim to ensure the effective and accurate completion of the security responsibility transfer process as planned, providing all necessary conditions for this critical initiative's success. Furthermore, the Director listened to valuable inputs from the attending security commanders, which significantly contributed to the meeting's agenda.
